The AI Energy Management Alliance (AEMA) advocates for flexible data centers that are good grid citizens—dynamically adjusting their power draw to provide relief when the system needs it most. Bringing together leaders throughout the AI value chain, we champion policies that accelerate speed-to-power and recognize demand flexibility as a cornerstone of America’s energy and technology leadership. By unlocking power on the existing—and often underutilized—grid, we protect energy reliability and affordability for American households.
How it works

Throughout the year, half the power system’s capacity goes unused. By making data centers moderately flexible, we can unlock 100 GW from our existing power system, enough to power 100 million homes.
